SOUTHWEST TERRACE - 1988. I really enjoy the transformation of the space and the function of the space by the soft overhanging canopy. It transformed the immensity of the space into something very human and comfortable. It actually transformed the work space into a holiday. I wish this could have lasted. Due to the afternoon thermal winds and three summers of tearing and repairing, I decided to take the canopies down, and hopefully within the next year will be replaced by a permanent roof. The softness could not stand the harshness of the Fresno summer tantrums. I have had many visitors who have remarked "It's so inspirational". My refrain is, "It's so perspirational."
